Bitpie, known as a wallet service provider, has announced that they’re eager and willing to support TRON’s blockchain upgrade and mainnet launch. To better put things into perspective, Bitpie will aid TRON with token migrations and updates within the blockchain technology area. Scheduled to happen quite soon, on May 25, we are already aware that TRON is going to be busy launching the Virtual Machine [TRON VM v.0.1], which is also compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine.
At the same time, on May 31, TRON will launch the much-anticipated mainnet launch, with token migrations scheduled to happen as soon as June 21. Overall, the news was received with much enthusiasm and support from the online community, and TRON received a helping hand for numerous exchange platforms and wallets.
The Underlying Deal
In line with reports on Medium, investors are required to deposit the TRX ERC-20 tokens to the Bitpie wallet, while all the transfers conducted by investors in the Bitpie wallet will receive an equivalent amount of TRX tokens. In this context, Bitpie appears more than equipped in handling the new-generation asset management.
As it stands, TRON is ranked as number 9 on CoinMarketCap, although we are aware that the market deflated last week, resulting in a significant price drop for most cryptocurrencies. Among them, TRON boasts a market capitalization of approximately $4.4 billion, with the TRX price having fallen by 6.6% in the last 24 hours.
The current trading price for TRX is staked at $0.067, which, in all fairness, did see a substantial increase of 2.5% from past one hour. But, this still doesn’t dismiss how the market has seen some concerning and significant drops in prices, by 16% in the last one week period.
Nevertheless, TRON is continuing business as usual, with Justin Sun having announced to the community that the company is looking to give away prizes, as we have gotten used to them doing. Last year, for instance, the leading award we all had our eyes on was either the Mercedes Benz or the eye-candy, Maserati.
